Toenail reconstruction is both a cosmetic as well as medical procedure. Toenail reconstruction is performed by a podiatrist using a specialist gel that is layered either directly onto the nail bed if no nail is present (due to trauma or surgery) so that a brand new nail is created, or, on top of unsightly or misshapen nails so that the nail is more aesthetically pleasing.
We use WILDE PEDIQUE® gel from LCN which is a single component, UV light cured, high-grade acrylester resin developed specifically for corrective and restorative toe nail treatments.
Why use WILDE PEDIQUE® gel:
- Extremely flexible – does not stress the natural nail plate
- No discolouration – once cured it will not change
- No aggressive acidic primers which damage the natural nail plate
- Does not hinder the natural nail growth
- Suitable your choice of nail polish
Toenail reconstruction is suitable for:
- Men and women
- Thick nails
- Nail tufts or spikes that have been left after nail surgery
- Discoloured nails
- Fungal nails
- Traumatised nails
- Diabetics
- Psoriatic nails
- People with no nail at all (this doesn’t last as long when compared to building up an existing nail)
£20 per big toe nail and £15 per lesser nail, in addition to our standard podiatry/chiropody fee
